MRS. WILHITE DIES IN OMAHA SUNDAY.
Mrs. Eva Wilhite, formerly of Carroll, passed away at 2 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alton E. Bryan, in Omaha, with whom she lived. She had been ill for about three weeks.
Mrs. Wilhite was about 80 years old. She and her husband, the late Thomas Wilhite, lived in Carroll for many years. After the death of her husband, she made her home with the Bryan family, who have resided in Omaha for the last several years.
The body was brought to Carroll Tuesday morning and taken from there to Scranton for burial beside her husband in the family lot in the Scranton cemetery. The Rev. R. J. Arms of Scranton officiated at a short service at the graveside Tuesday noon. Burial was under the direction of the Huffman Funeral home.
The body was accompanied here for burial by Mr. and Mrs. Alton E. Bryan and their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Bryan. They visited Alton E. Bryan’s mother, Mrs. E. H. Bryan, while here.

The body of Mrs. Eva M. Wilhite of Omaha was shipped to Carroll Tuesday and brought to Scranton in the hearse, where a short funeral service was conducted at the Scranton cemetery in charge of Rev. Arms. Mrs. Wilhite was 80 years old and a former resident of this community, her husband having been a barber in Scranton. He preceded her in death in 1909.
