FRANK LONEMAN DIES AT HIS FARM HOME

RESIDENT OF COUNTY OVER FORTY YEARS
A Native of Germany and Nearly Sixty-Two Years Old at time of death-buried saturday from St.
Francis' Church, at Maple River,of Which He Was a Member, Frank L. Loneman, an old and highly respected farmer of this county, died at his home west of Carroll,Wednesday, March 17, aged 61 years,11 months and 11 days. The cause
of death was diabetes from which he has been suffering for several months, but he was confined to his bed only for the last few weeks of his life.
Mr. Loneman was bom in Hannover, Germany, April 6, 1858, and spent the ealrler years of his life In his native country. He was 19 years of age, when In 1872 he came to America, where he first settled at Quincy, Illinois, shortly afterward
coming to Breda, Iowa, where he lived until 1900, when he came to the farm near Carroll.
which continued to be his home until his death last week. In 1876, he was married at Breda to Miss Alice Schulte, who died in November, 1888. Four children were born to them, of whom one Henry, died in 1882, the others being John, Ben and Mary. In 1890 he was again married to Miss
Helen Fehring, at Breda. To this union four children were born, August. Frank, Anna, and Elizabeth, the last named dying In infancy. In June 1895 death again took from him his loving wife, and in 1896, he was married to Miss
Anna Fehring at Breda, who survives him. To this union seven children were born, of whim six survive,their names being Josephine, Joseph,
William, Rose, Elizabeth, Anthony and Lawrence, the last named dying in infancy. Of the twelve children who live to mourn the death of their
father, all remain at the parental home except John, who lives near Carroll, and Mary, (Mrs. Carl Dufner) living near Breda. He still has three brothers living and one sister. His brother, Herman is still a resident of Germany, August lives at Armour, South Dakota, and
John at Little Rock, lowa, while the sister, Anna, is Mrs. Schulte, of Breda. He was a worthy citizen and a faithful member of St. Francis Catholic church, of Maple River, and also
of the Roman Catholic Mutual Protection Society, the members of which which attended the funeral together.
Solemn Requiem mass was held at St. Francis church Saturday in which Rev. Meyer was assisted, by Revs. Huessman and Loefferholz.
Those from a distance who were in attendance on the funeral were August Loneman and son, of Armour, South Dakota; Mr. and Mrs. John Loneman, of Little Rock, Iowa, Frank Schettler of Larchwood Iowa; Frank Klenken of Willmont, Minnesota; Henry Fehring, T. B. Fehring and Ben Wilberding of Lismoore, Minneota.
