Private funeral services for Mrs Jacob Kruse, 71 were held in the Manning Cemetery at 2 o'clock, July 4 with the Rev. J. M. Anserge of the Manning Lutheran Church officiating.

Mrs. Kruse passed away at her home at 11 o'clock Saturday night. Mrs. Kruse had been ill for several years and suffered a great deal with rheumatism, but her death came unexpectedly, caused by spinal mengites.

On May 5 of this year she and Mr. Kruse very fittingly observed their golden wedding anniversary with all of their children and grandchildren present.

She was born Wilhelmina Dreesen in Schoenberg in the Probstie in Holstein, Germany, Sept. 5, 1865.
She came directly to Manning from Germany in 1884. From that time she lived in Manning almost continuously. She was married to Jacob Kruse May 5, 1888.

Mrs. Kruse is survived by her husband and the following children: Nettie (Mrs. Louis Puck) Springfield, Minn.; Amanda (Mrs Elmer Turnbloom)Duluth, Minn; Claudius Kruse of Winona, Minn.; Frieda (Mrs. George Adolphson) Chokio, Minn.; Anna (Mrs. Thomas Klyver) Fresno, Calif., and Wilhelmina (Mrs. Lloyd McCullom), Carroll. Also twenty-six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
