Nov 11, 1887 - Carroll Sentinel - Mrs. Elizabeth Bedford, wife of Chas. Bedford, died at the family home in Pleasant Valley Thursday, Nov. 4th, at 12 o'clock, in the 74th year of her age.

She had been a sufferor for sixteen years, and her death was ultimately caused by a stroke of paralysis which seized her on the Sunday morning previous to her death. During those four days she could take no medicine, or nourishment, though conscious until a short time before death.

The deceased became a member of the M.E. church in England when 13 years of age, and has lived a consistent Christian all her life. The funeral was held Saturday, Nov. 6th, at the Pleasant Valley M.E. church, and was largely attended, Rev. Mr. Elliott conducting the ceremonies. The bereaved family have the sympathies of our entire community.
