Oct 6, 1902 - Carroll Sentinel - Miss Anna Wolfe, daughter of Daniel Wolfe of Fonda, died at the home of her uncle, Thos. Kirk, near Maple River, Saturday night shortly after 12 o'clock, of quick consumption. About six months ago her mother died of the same dread disease, and it is thought that during her constant care for her sick mother she contracted the illness which developed into the fatal malady. For several months she has been a great sufferer and death came as a relief to the pain which earthly physicians could not cure.

Deceased was born near this city nearly twenty years ago and had made her home here all her life except for a few years since the family moved away. Her mother was a sister of Thos. and Andrew Kirk and as stated above died about six mouths ago.

Of her immediate relatives there are four brothers and two sisters, besides her father, to mourn her demise. She was a devout Christian and passed away in the calm serenity of spirit that belongs only to those whose lives have been passed in following in the footsteps of the lowly Nazarene.

In life she was ever ready to make sacrifices for the dear ones around her and in death she has the prayers of those friends who hope to meet her in the world beyond the grave. The funeral cortege will leave the home of her uncle, Thos. Kirk, near Maple River, tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 8:30, and services at St. Joseph's church will begin at 10 o'clock.
