Sept 12, 1962 - Carroll Daily Times - Mrs. Fred H. Pluckhahn, 48, Carroll, died early Wednesday morning, Sept. 12, at St. Anthony Hospital, where she had been a patient since Aug. 21. She had been in health since 1948. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church in Glidden, with the Revs. Kenneth Santee and Duane Heap officiating. Burial will be in the Carroll City Cemetery. The body is at the Huffman Funeral Home in Glidden, where friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday.

Mrs. Pluckhahn was the former Irma Louise Hartwigsen, daughter of Claus and Viola Hartwigsen of Glidden. She was born at Glidden Sept. 11, 1914, and was a member of the Glidden Friends Church. Her marriage to Fred H. Pluckhahn took place June 17, 1936.

Surviving are her husband; two children, Mrs. Gary (Sondra) Knudtson, Storm Lake, and John F. Pluckhahn, Carroll; two grandchildren; her parents; one brother, Wayne Hartwigsen, Mason City; and four sisters, Mrs. D.W. (Verna) Mallett, Albany, Calif.; Mrs. Art (Esther) Hebron, Des Moines; Mrs. Paul (Ardith) Made, Spencer; and Mrs. Dale (Lois Jean) Lawrence, Mt. Lake Terrace, Wash.
