Breda -- John Rosener, 81, who had lived on the same farm three and one-half miles southwest of Breda since his birth, died at 12:40 p.m. Thursday at St. Anthony Hospital. He had been ill the last month and had undergone surgery a few weeks ago.

Funeral rites will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Bernard's Church here, the Rev. John Hausman officiating. Burial will be in St. Bernard's parish cemetery.

The body is resting at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll, where rosary recitation will be led by Fr. Hausman at 8 p.m. Friday. The Catholic Order of Foresters will pray the rosary at 8:15 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Rosener was born March 23, 1873, on the farm where he spent his entire life.

He was married in 1904 to Mary Swieters (sic) at St. Bernard's Church here, with the Rev. Fr. Luersman reading the nuptial mass.

Mr. Rosener was a member of St. Bernard's Church and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Surviving are four sons: Ben, Henry and Tony Rosener, Breda, and Joe Rosener, Vail, and 14 grandchildren.

His wife died in December, 1910. Five sisters also preceded him in death.
