Wednesday Rites For Mrs. Killeen

Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Huffman funeral home here for Mrs. James Killeen, 76, who died at her home in Westside at 8:20 p.m. Saturday. Mrs. Killeen, a sister of the late John Kruse of Carroll, succumbed to an illness of several months.

The Rev. Frank Turnbull of Vail, minister of the Presbyterian church, will officiate. Burial will be in the Westside cemetery.

The body is remaining at the funeral home here until the time of the services.

Mrs. Killeen was born Minnie Kruse Nov. 8, 1874, at Westside, where she spent her life. her parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Kruse, sr., had settled in the Westside community 80 years ago.

Her marriage took place May 20, 1906, at Vail.

Surviving with her husband are three children: Lawrence Killeen, San Francisco, Calif.; Emily, Westside, and Mrs. Fred Winters (Maurine), Sacramento, Calif.

She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Hannah Kemp, Redlands, Calif., and brother, Harm Kruse, Westside.

Three sisters and two brothers preceded her in death: Mrs. William Mooney, Mrs. S. B. McHarvey, Mrs. Robert White and Otto Kruse and John Kruse. A son, Fay Killeen, is also deceased. Mrs. Killeen was a member of the Evangelical church.
