Peter Reinart, 85, Manning, died early Friday, June 21, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll.

Requiem mass will be read at 10 A.M. Monday at sacred Heart Church in Manning by the Rev. Patrick J. Nooney. Grandsons will be pallbearers; and burial will be in St. augustine Cemetery, Halbur.

The body may be viewed at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning after 7 p.m. Saturday. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Saturday and at 3 and 8 p.m. Sunday.

Mr. Reinart was born April 12, 1878, near Halbur, a son of Matt and Susan Friedman Reinart. He attended Holy Angels School, Roselle; and on Jan. 23, 1905, was married to Mary Agnes Hoffert at Axtell, Neb. For several years they farmed near Axtell, coming to Carroll County in 1913 and settling on a farm four miles south of Carroll. The next year they moved to another farm southeast of Halbur, where they farmed until 1927, then moved into Halbur, where Mr. Reinart followed the carpenter trade.

His wife died Aug 17, 1956, and for the past six years, he had made his home with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Leo Thielen, near Manning.

He is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Thielen (Bertille); Mrs. W.A. (Mary) Buchholz, Jasper, Ind.; Mrs. Lawrence (Genevieve) Gehling, Gilmore City; 17 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Neu, Gainesville, Tex., and Mrs. Mary Schneider, Minden, Neb.; and two brothers, Joe Reinart, Carroll, and John Reinart, Manning.

Besides his wife, Mr. Reinart was preceded in death by two daughters, Monica in Kearny, and Mrs. Adolph (Gladys) Langel; two grandchildren four brothers and three sisters.
