Funeral of William Huegerich

William Huegerich, son of Mrs. George Huegerich, of near Mt. Carmel who died at sea October 1, was buried at Mt. Carmel Saturday morning at ten o'clock, the pall bearers being members of the local home guards.

William left with the Carroll county boys for Camp Gordon, Ga., September 26, and left with them from Camp Merritt, New Jersey, for France during the middle of September. While on the water he took critically sick with pneumonia following the influenza and his body was returned to the United States for burial. The returning ship landed at Hoboken and his body was sent to Carroll, with a soldier escort, for burial.

His death is a sad blow to the mother who has lost husband, son and daughter in the past fifteen months and will now have another son to grieve for. Besides his mother he leaves five brothers and one sister, Anthony, Bernard, GEorge, John, Frank and Mrs. Louie Siepker, of Peoria, Illinois.
