Death of Elizabeth Bruning

Elizabeth Bruning died Friday morning, December 13, at Maple River after an illness of about five days with influenza.

Deceased was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bruning and was born at Breda October 11, 1884, and was therefore 34 years, 2 months and 2 days old at the time of her demise. In 1907 she went to Ogden, Iowa, where she was employed as housekeeper for Rev. A. Meyer and on his removal to Maple River four years ago she accompanied him in the same capacity.

Besides her parents she leaves to mourn her death six brothers and three sisters. They are Ben, of Mobridge, S. D.; H. J., of Breda; Joe, in training camp in Alabama; Louis, of Waco, Texas, and Beldina (sic), Frances, Lawrence, Adelaide and Edmund at home.

Funeral services were held at the Catholic church at Maple River Saturday at 9 o'clock and interment made in the Catholic cemetery here Saturday afternoon.
