Dedham -- Mrs. Frances Klocke, 86, longtime resident of Dedham, died at 8:55 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, at St. Anthony Hospital in Carroll, where she had been a patient for two weeks. For the past 3 1/2 years she had lived at the Friendship Home in Audubon.
Requiem mass will be read at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Church here, with the Rev. Henry Meyer officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call at the Sharp Funeral Home in Carroll after 7 p.m. Thursday. The rosary will be recited at 8 and 8:45 p.m. both Thursday and Friday, with Fr. Meyer leading the 8 p.m. recitation Friday.

Mrs. Klocke was born Oct. 1, 1876, at Roselle, a daughter of George and Frances Bierl Klocke. On Feb. 11, 1896, she married Joseph Klocke at Sacred Heart Church Templeton, with the late Rev. Bernard Schulte officiating. Following their marriage, the couple moved to a farm southeast of Templeton, living there until 1914, when they moved to a farm southwest of Dedham. They farmed there until 1941, at which time Mr. Klocke retired and the moved into Dedham. He died Feb. 9, 1949.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Church, Dedham, and the Rosary Society and Ladies Guild of the parish.

Surviving are the following children: Edward and Clem Klocke, Dedham; Ambrose Klocke, Templeton; Mrs. John (Teckla) Kitt, Gray; Clarence Klocke, Coon Rapids; Alphonse Klocke, Gray; Mrs. Edmund (Frances) Stangl, Culross, Manitoba, Canada; Mrs. Matt (Gertrude) Rothmeyer, Glidden; Hilda Klocke, Ames; and Ben Klocke, Dedham.

Mrs. Klocke is also survived by 74 grandchildren, 121 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; and by one brother, Tony Bierl.

She was preceded in death by one son Joseph, her parents, three brothers and one sister, in addition to her husband.
