Death Claims Mrs. Anton Klocke

Templeton -- Mrs. Anton Klocke of Templeton died at 3:30 a.m. Friday at St. Anthony Hospital after a four-month-illness. Mrs. Klocke, who would have been 67 years old Sunday, Oct. 11, had undergone surgery in June. She was admitted to the Carroll hospital Sept. 13.

Funeral Monday

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Church here. The Rev. William Buchholz will offer requiem mass. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

The rosary will be prayed by the Christian Mothers Sodality at 8 p.m. Friday at the Ohde Funeral Home in Manning, where the rosary will also be recited at 8 p.m. Saturday.

Sunday afternoon the body will be returned from the funeral home to the family residence here, where the rosary will be prayed at 8 p.m. Sunday.

Mrs. Klocke, the former Lena Sporrer, was born Oct. 11, 1886, at Rochester, N.Y. In 1891, she came to Iowa with her parents, Wenz and Jacobina Sporrer, who settled on a farm southeast of Templeton.

In 1908 she married Mr. Klocke at Sacred Heart Church here. The couple farmed two and one-half miles southeast of Templeton until they retired five years ago and moved into the present home in Templeton.

Survivors

Mrs. Klocke leaves her husband; three sons, Raymond, Templeton, Albert, Manning, and Herbert, Templeton; one daughter, Mrs. Herbert (Marie) Eich, Manning, and one brother, Wenz Sporrer, Templeton.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Joe Sporrer, and two sisters, Anna, and one who died in infancy.

Mrs. Klocke was a member of the Sacred Heart Church and the Christian Mothers Sodality of the parish.
