Henry Wurr and Margaret Hollander were married August 22, 1885, at Denison, Iowa. Both came to America from Segeberg, Holstein, Germany, in 1883. After living in Crawford County for several years they moved to Carroll County. In 1901 they purchased a farm in Sheridan Township and lived there until their retirement into Lidderdale in 1929. They were the parents of ten children: Emma, Martha, Anna, Fred, William, Henry, Emil, Carl and Adolph. John the youngest child, died in infancy. They celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary at their home in Lidderdale in 1935. Margaret died in 1949 at the age of 88 years. Henry died in 1952 at the age of 90 years.
