I located their obituaries for you.
It is a sad task we are called to do in reporting the death of Grandpa Burdick and his wife so nearly at the same time. Alfred G. Burdick was born in Oneida Castle, N. Y., on February 21st, 1821, and died at his home here in Farnhamville on Jan 14th, 1999; aged 77 years 10 months and 23 days.
Eliza Maria Davis was born in Oneida Castle, N. Y., May 23rd, 1823 and died at her home in Farnhamville on January 15th, 1899; aged 75 years 7 months and 22 days. They were married in the town of their birth on September 27th, 1842. Mr. Burdick came to Clinton, Iowa, in 1852, and after remaining there three years sent for his family and they moved to Jackson county where they lived for twenty years. In 1880 they moved to Calhoun county where they have since made their home. They leave six sons and one daughter to mourn their loss. Their funeral were held at the M. E. church here Monday, conducted by Rev. Shuler and the interment was made in the Gowrie cemetery conducted by the I. O. O. F. lodge.
