1901 Train Wreck

MINNICK, ELSEY

Posted By: DeLoris Jensby (email)

In February, 1901, D.A. Minnick received word that two of his sons had been severely injured in a train wreck in Iowa. His sons, George & Henry were living at Lake City, Iowa in the 1900 Iowa census. Does anyone have any information on this train wreck and where in Iowa it may have occurred? I am also seeking information on the Elsey families who lived in Lake City at the time and were related to the Minnick families.
Thank you.
