I can tell you that Lake City's sesquicentennial celebration will be this year--2006--and that brothers Michael and Gary Johnston, direct descendants of Peter Smith, will be grand marshals of the parade to be held on Labor Day weekend. Peter Smith is generally accorded the distinction of "founder of Lake City."
