DEATH - A telegram to Geo. W. Metcalf, from his wife, at Pomeroy, Iowa, on Wednesday, informed him of the death of their infant child, Frank, that morning. He was not aware of the illness of the little one, hence the brief announcement was the more poignant. The funeral took place at Pomeroy.

Note: Little Frank's parents George W. & Evaline (Strong) Metcalf are buried in Oak Hill cemetery, Lansing, Allamakee county, Iowa. Unknown where little Frank is buried.
