Westley Hie Aden
(July 25, 1997 - March 24, 2020)

Westley H. Aden – age 22, of Everly, formerly of Manson, passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the Spencer Hospital in Spencer, Iowa. He was a deeply beloved son, brother and uncle.
Westley Hie Aden was born on June 5, 1997 in Richland Center, Wisconsin. He was the son of Cody and Rosemary (Lopez) Aden. He attended school at Pomeroy-Palmer schools until 2009. As a 7th grader he attended Manson Northwest Webster Schools, graduating in 2015. He worked as a lifeguard at the Manson pool during his high school years and was active in wrestling, track, play and drama. After high school, Westley attended Iowa State University in Ames. Westley was a member of FFA and the National Honor Society. He enjoyed playing soccer and traveling. He traveled to the Great Pyramid's in Guatemala and to Spain, Italy and Puerto Rico. Earlier this year he traveled to the Pacific Ocean via Washington and Oregon.
Survivors include his parents, Cody and Rosemary of Everly; sister, Jacobine (Aaron) Swailes of Ainsworth, IA and their children, Yvonne and Tiberias; a brother, William Aden of Palmer and many aunts and uncles. Westley was preceded in death by his grandparents, Darrel and Yvonne Aden and Maria Cristobalina (Ruiz) and Baudilio Lopez.
Always a creative, sweet, tempered child. He grew up to be a very gifted artist and student saludatorian in his class of 2015 from Manson Northwest Webster. He earned full tuition scholarships as a Hixon Scholar and George Washington scholar at Iowa State University. Unfortunately, illness interfered with his studies and commenced a very painful period of intensive suffering. We can not fathem the trials you have faced. You have been brave, you are so loved, be at peace with our Lord Jesus and forgive us for unfair judgment. Private family services will be held Friday, March 27th at Powers Funeral Home with burial at Union Cemetery in Pomeroy. A celebration of life service open to the public will be held at a later date.
