Obituary
Farnhamville – Lewis Stephens, son of Green and Louisa Stephens, was born Nov. 30, 1873, at Bussey, and died May 8, 1939 at Farnhamville of a heart attack. He moved to Calhoun County with his parents in the spring of 1885 and spent the remainder of his life here with the exception of two years spent at Rolfe and a year at Greeley, Col. He was married Feb. 25, 1903 to Miss Hannah Anderson of Farnhamville, who died in June 1926. His mother, father and a sister also preceded him in death. Mr. Stephens was married Nov. 30, 1926 to Mrs. Elda Wood, who survives. He joined the Congregational Church while a young man and served the church in many capacities. He was on the church board 20 years. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at the Congregational Church, the Rev. Marvin Williams officiating.
