Place of Death: Gerald L. Bergerson 55, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 at Stewart Memorial Hospital, Lake City, Iowa.

His wishes were to be cremated. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, at the Palmer & Swank Funeral Home, Rockwell City, with Pastor Betty Weidert officiating.

Gerald is survived by his daughter Jesseca (Scott) Knoke of Lohrville; sons, Jeron Bergerson of Kennewick, WA, and Justin Bergerson of Rockwell City; granddaughter Santana Hernandez-Bergerson; sisters, Merla McLaughlin of Woodenville, WA, and Kay Morris of Kennewick, WA; and brothers, Earl Goss of Albany, OR, and Keith Pierce of Florence, AZ. He was preceded in death by his wife Donna Marie Heim Bergerson; and parents, Howard Bergerson and Nellie McLaughlin.

Gerald Lee Bergerson was born March 25, 1957 at Iowa City. He graduated from Manson High School, with the Class of 1976. He also graduated from Iowa Lakes Community College with a Carpentry Degree. On November 19, 1983 he was united in marriage to Donna Marie Heim at Rockwell City, Iowa. Gerald worked as a carpenter, logger, fisherman, prospector, entrepreneur, and adventurer in the states of Iowa, Washington, and Alaska. Donna passed away in 2003.
