Perry C. Holdoegel
Senator from Twenty-seventh district, composed of Webster and Calhoun counties, was born on a farm near Woodbine, Iowa, September 7, 1869; served as apprentice to brick mason and to printer; clerked in grocery and dry goods stores; worked his way through normal school; was engaged in public school work fourteen years. Settled in Rockwell City, where he has been city superintendent and now resides. He has managed the local (Central Mutual) telephone company since its organization. His largest financial interest is in farming. He is also interested in a number of banks. Was married in 1895 to Mattie A. Forest, of Dunlap, Iowa, and to this union two children were born, Donald in 1901 and Dorothy in 1905. Served as secretary and chairman of th republican county central committee.
