1919 Obit (I think from the recorder-doesn'tsay)

The community was shocked on Sunday morning on hearing of the passing away in St. Francis Hospital in Waterloo, of Thomas Hagarty. His condition was known to be serious, but hope was entertained until near the last that he might recover. But the inevitable came at 5:15 Sunday morning. Thomas was an honest, upright and whole-souled personage and is greatly missed by all who knew him.
Thomas Bernard Hagarty was born in Dayton Township, Butler County, Iowa on January 10, 1871, and died at the age of 48 years, 5 months, 17 days. The near relatives that survive him are tow brothers and three sisters, viz, P. J. Hagarty of Fullerton, N.E., Laurence of Greene, Mrs. Bessie Nevins of Greene, Mrs. Agatha Regina Bailey of Chadbourn, N.C., and Sister Mary Virginia (Gertrude) Hagarty of Chicago.

The funeral which was held at St. Mary's church, here at 10:00 AM on Monday was conducted by the Knights of Columbus. The mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Thole of Roserville and the sermon deliverd by Rev. Father Puhl of Wisconsin. The music and singing were beautifully rendered by the choir. The interement took place in Calvary Cemetery.
Those in attendance from out of town were P.J. Hagarty of Fullerton, NEBRASKA, Sister Mary Virginia (Gertrude) Hagarty, Sister M. Gabriel of Chicago,IL, Mrs Catherine Doyle-McGee, and son Frank of Allison, Iowa
