It has pleased the Lord, our wife, mother, grandmother, Gretje Hoodjer, on the 28th of February, 1920, to call away from our midst into eternity, She was born on the 1st of August, 1846 , at Moorhusen, Ostfiresland, and reached the age of 73 years, 6 months, and 28 days. In 1867, she was united in marriage to Claas Hoodjer, and this marriage was blessed with 11 children, from that 2 preceded the mother into death. In 1893, then came with their family to America. About 10 years ago she moved with her husband to Parkersburg where they retired. In 1917, then celebrated their golden anniversary. On the 3rd of March she was buried under leadership of Pastor S. Siefkes. She is mourned by her husband, 9 children, 40 grandchildren and one great grandchild. She rests in peace and the everlasting light is her radiance. In the name of the husband: S.
