RITE HELD WED FOR EVERETT BYE

Everett W Bye, son of George and Harriet Bye, was born November 19, 1872, near Janesville, and passed away at the Riverview hospital in Greene on Monday, January 1.

He had reached the age of 79 years, one month and 12 days. He was one of nine children, having four sisters and four brothers.

He was married to Elizabeth Cooper at Waverly on January 27, 1894. They made their home at Waverly until they moved to a farm near Packard in 1901. They continued farming in this community until ill health forced Mr. Bye to leave the farm and they moved into a home in Greene in the spring of 1940.

They were the parents of three children, a boy who died at 14 months of age, and two daughters, who survive.

His wife preceded him in death September 9, 1941. Surviving are the two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Nordman of Clarksville, and Mrs Dorothy Willey of Greene.

Also surviving are three brothers, Will of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, Edward of Waverly, and Charley of Janesville. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held from the Watterson Funeral home Wednesday, January 3, with the Rev. G. F. Butler officiating Burial was in Rose Hill cemetery.
