Shockingly Killed.
Waverly Independent:—Yesterday G.{sic} T. Husband, a farmer, who lives between Shell Rock and Clarksville was instantly killed by being run over by his horses and wagon. He had just crossed the B. C. R. & N. track when the 11 o’clock passenger train came along. He stepped in front of his horses and held them by the bits. The horses became unmanageable, they tramped him down, the wagon ran over him and he was dead when picked up. Mr. Husband was about 65 years old.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows this was Casper T. Husband who was born June 27, 1829 and died Dec. 1, 1897. He is buried in Riverside Cemetery.
