It Cost Him his Life.
Greene Recorder:—James Montgomery aged 23 years was operating a power corn sheller in Dayton township, Butler county, last Wednesday. In brushing some husks and chaff from the gearing he was oiling, his mitten caught, and on a trice his hand and arm nearly to the shoulder was crushed and mangled before he was released. The arm was amputated. He seemed to stand the operation, but next day he died suddenly.Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born Dec. 3, 1875 and died March 30, 1899. He is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery.
