Little Margaret Clarke Dies

Wednesday evening at fifteen minutes after nine o'clock the soul of little Margaret Clarke, the seven year old daughter of Mrs. Margaret Clarke passed to its heavenly home.
Little Margaret was taken sick with peritonitis
on her seventh birthday, March 6, and from that time until death occured everything possible was done to save the little life.
The heartfelt sympathy of the entire community is extended to the bereaved mother and family.

The funeral was held on Friday and Requiem Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick's Catholic church at 9:30 in the morning after which the body was taken to Greene where interment was made in the family lot at Rose Hill cemetery.

The funeral party that brought the remains to Greene was large and the many sympathizers both from there and Greene consoled the grief stricken mother. Hon. John F. Wade of Des Moines and M. F. Wade of Iowa City with their families were here at the funeral leaving for their homes on the afternoon train.
