MICHAEL WADE DIED YESTERDAY MORNING (1889)

Tuberculosis Claims Young Man With Bright Future
Funeral At Dougherty

The sad news reached the city yesterday of the death of Michael M. Wade which took place at his home at Dougherty early yesterday morning from
tuberculosis.
His death takes away a young man with a future whose brightness is seldom equaled and deprives the country of a able man.

Michael Wade was twenty-two years of age at the time of death and had been suffering from the disease for two or three years.
His home has been at Dougherty with his folks.
He was the son of Senator Wade and a nephew of Judge Wade of Iowa City.
His father is a member of the Board of Control at present.

The deceased had a particularly bright future to look forward to in case he had been spared.
He was a student at the St. Joseph's college at Dubuque about two years ago and was a brilliant student.
He contracted tuberculosis while there which resulted in his death yesterday.

The funeral will be held at Dougherty Tuesday morning at ten o'clock and the services will be conducted by Father Dougherty of this city, who left for there yesterday afternoon. A large number of people from Mason City will attend the funeral.
