Carol Reiners was born on December 7, 1943 in Waterloo, Iowa: the daughter of Heiko and Johanna (Degroote) Reiners.

She graduated from Parkersburg High School then went on to Logan Chiropractic School in Missouri. After graduation, Carol moved to California to live and she worked at Pacific Bell Telephone Company until her retirement in 1989. During her time in California, Carol opened her own Chiropractic practice. She returned to Parkersburg after her retirement from Pacific Bell. Carol was an avid reader and she thought of herself as a professional student; she never stopped learning.

Carol passed away on Monday, November 22, 2010 from cancer at Parkview Nursing and Rehab Center, in Waterloo, at the age of 66.

She is preceded in death by her father, Heiko. Carol is survived by her mother, Johanna Reiners, of Parkersburg; 3 brothers: Henry (Bonnie) Reiners of Waterloo, Heiko (Karen) Reiners, Jr. of Lakeland, Florida and Dennis (Terry) Reiners of Waterloo and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be directed to Cedar Valley Hospice and flowers may be sent to Parkview Nursing and Rehab as a thank you.
