Marlys Ruth Pralle, 78, of Hampton, Iowa, passed away October 7, 2010, at the Presbyterian Village in Ackley, Iowa.

She was born July 12, 1932, in Dumont, Iowa, to John and Minnie (Nolte) Tjabring.

Marlys graduated from Dumont High School. She was united in marriage to Charles “Chuck” Pralle on June 10, 1950, in Dumont, Iowa. Marlys was a housewife, while also working beside her husband on the farm and around the yard. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hampton. Marlys enjoyed gardening, dancing, listening to Willie Nelson and helping her family & friends. Being a grandmother was fun and very special to her. She was also very patriotic.

Marlys is survived by her daughter Diana & husband Siegbert Kling of Rochester, Minnesota, daughter Cindy & husband Russell Stigler of Ames, daughter Kim & husband David Powell of Ankeny, daughter Jane & husband David Nichols of Ankeny, grandchildren Luke Stigler, Lindsey Haagensen, Nicole Powell, Joseph Stigler, Myka Nichols, Logan Nichols and Carson Powell, great grandchildren Tyson and Alivia Haagensen and sisters Dolores Richtsmeier, Lavon Dubberke and Junice (Dan) Munson.

She was preceded in death by her parents John and Minnie, husband Chuck and grandson Tyson Kling.

Burial will take place in the Hampton Cemetery.
