J. R. Taylor purchased his present farm on the 11th day of October, 1852, and then returned to Indiana. Two years subsequently he returned to Butler township. In 1855 he was married, in Indiana, to Miss Hester Cook. They have four children – Morrison A., John M., Percill A. C., and Rose E. Mr. Taylor is a son of John and Rachel (Robey) Taylor. He was born in Fairfield county, Ohio, in 1829. He removed with the family to Park county, Indiana. After the death of his father he returned with his mother to Ohio, and lived with her in that State until her marriage with Mr. Burton. Mr. Taylor is a highly respected citizen, and an enterprising farmer. He takes little interest in politics, and associates with the Christian Church.
