Byron L. Poisal, only son of William Poisal, was born in Clarksville, August 5, 1859. He was educated in the public schools of that city. He learned the shoemaker’s trade at the age of fifteen years, and followed the same until May, 1881. He then entered the employ of H. F. L. Burton, as clerk, and in September, 1882, became a partner in the business, the firm now being Burton & Poisal.
