Dorothy Redenbaugh, age 103, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died March 4, 2011, at the Buena Vista Manor in Storm Lake.

The oldest of five children, Dorothy was born on December 18, 1907, in Lytton, Iowa, to John D. and Lillian Berkler. She attended rural school and the schools in Lytton, graduating from high school there. She took further classes to become a teacher in rural schools. She also studied at the University of Minnesota.

Dorothy was married on July 3, 1935, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua to Leslie Charles Redenbaugh of Storm Lake. They had one son, Phil Charles.

Les and Dorothy traveled all over the United States while Les worked as an auditor for the Gamble-Skogmo Company. After Les became very ill, he served as the personnel director of the Gamble-Skogmo Company for two years before retiring.

In May, 1939, Leslie and Dorothy opened The Camera Shop in Storm Lake. In 1940, they began the Storm Lake Camera Club that met in their recreation room for many years. After Leslie passed away in November, 1949, Dorothy ran the Camera Shop for over fifty years.

Dorothy was a member of the Lakeside Presbyterian Church. She held offices in the Wa-tan-ye Club, the Delphian Club, the Chamber of Commerce, the Buena Vista Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the local chapter of the Colonial Dames XVII Century. She was also a member of the Eastern Star. On May 1, 1979, Dorothy received a community service award from the Storm Lake Chamber of Commerce.

Survivors include her son, Phil, and his wife, Margaret, of Storm Lake; a granddaughter, Leslie Mohr, her husband, Ryan, and a great-granddaughter, Madison, of Storm Lake; a grandson, Brett Redenbaugh, and his wife, Jenny, of Des Moines; a sister, Marjorie Miller, of Storm Lake; many extended family members; and a host of friends.

Funeral Service: 1:00 p.m. March 07, 2011, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Interment: March 07, 2011, at the Storm Lake Cemetery in Storm Lake, Iowa.
