Ada Marie Roberts, age 94, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Monday, February 5, 2018, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.

Ada Marie, a daughter of Raymond and Mary (Barr) Pryor, was born on September 7, 1923, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Hayes Township School in rural Storm Lake. On February 5, 1955, she married Rolly F. Roberts at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Subsequently, they were blessed with two children: Raymond G., on October 21, 1946, and Dan L., on March 5, 1947.

An active member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, Ada Marie participated in many ways including with the United Methodist Women (UMW). In addition, she joined the Rebekah Lodge and the Odd Fellows as well as garden and card clubs. She loved gardening. Moreover, she enjoyed Friday lunches and Saturday breakfasts with the girls. Most of all, however, she loved spending time with her family and friends. She will be, deeply, missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Raymond G. Crees, of Des Moines, Iowa, and Dan L. (Sandra) Alderson, of Cortez, Florida; eleven grandchildren; twenty-one great grandchildren; twenty-three great-great grandchildren; her sister, Barbara (Hale) Pember, of Iowa; her brothers- and sisters-in-law: Guy Roberts, of Missouri, Herbert (Carmen) Roberts, of California, Luther Roberts, of Missouri, Tena Jones, of Florida, Phyllis (Dennis) Guthrie, of Missouri, and Harriett Roberts, of Alaska; as well as extended family members and friends.

Ada Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Raymond; her husband, Rolly Roberts, on September 8, 2017; her sister, Verna M. Patterson; and her grandson, Danny L. Alderson, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Storm Lake Cemetery. Visitation will take place Wednesday, February 7, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with an Odd Fellows service at 5:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
