Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Mar 17, 1911 page 4 - Hannah Christina Larson was born of Scotch-Swedish parentage near Christianstad, Sweden on Feb 20, 1850. After an illness lasting 5 weeks her spirit peacefully passed from the wasted body at 15 minutes past one, Sunday morning, March 12, 1911.

In company with her father and family she left the home land in 1868 for Chicago, IL, She was united in marriage with Charles A Swan at Galesburg, IL. For a period of 10 years they conducted a boarding house at Davenport, Iowa and in 1885 removed to the farm northeast of Storm Lake, where she has since resided.

The two first born of her eight children while yet in infancy preceded her to the heavenly home.

To mourn her immeasurable loss she leaves behind her husband Charles A Swan; two sons William Henry of Chicago and Frank Fairfield; and four daughters: Belle, Ellen, Addie, and Grace, all of Storm Lake.

Her condition became very critical a week before she died and William and Belle came from Chicago to be near their mother. For days before the end, her ability to retain the nourishment that was so necessary to life became less and less and the inevitable exhaustion of the vital organs resulted in her death last Sunday morning. At different intervals during her last illness she seemed to be gaining a little strength and at such times she would smile and whisper feebly in recognition of the loved ones around her.

The funeral took place at the house Tuesday afternoon. Burial was in the Storm Lake cemetery.
