Storm Lake Pilot-Tribune - Thu, Dec 4, 1952 - Mrs Ed Spooner, 90, of Truesdale passed away at a local hospital Wednesday morning after an illness of over two years. She has lived most of her life in the Truesdale community.

Mrs Spooner was born on Feb 21, 1869 in Clinton county, Iowa, the daughter of George and Emily C Sweet.

She is survived by her husband, Ed, on son, Ralph of Truesdale; two daughters: Joyce, Mrs Don McCrea of Fonda and Norma, Mrs Thomas Nevitt of Ames; five grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs Alpharetta Nicholas of Newell, Mrs Effie Crowell of Dallas, TX, and Mrs N.M. Hoffman of Storm Lake.

Two brothers and one sister and her parents have preceded her death.

Funeral services will be held from the Methodist church in Storm Lake Saturday afternoon Dec 6. Interment will be in the Lakeview cemetery at Storm Lake.
