Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Sep 19, 1913 - Mr A.M. Nixon was born in Morgan County, Ohio, Nov 3, 1850 and died at his home in Storm Lake, IA. Sept 11, 1913. Just as the shades of night were covering the earth, his spirit returned back unto the one who gave it. When seven years of age he moved with his parents to Viroqua, WI. It was at this place, that on March 13, 1875 he was united in marriage to Sarah E McKitrick.

To this union seven children were born: Chas A, Roy, Claud S, Howard W, Nellie E, Rollie A, Earl M, all of whom are living except Chas A, who died on Oct 3, 1895. In the fall of 1893, Mr Nixon and his family moved to Missouri, where they remained until 1902 when they came to Sac county, Iowa. Here they made their home for four years. In 1906 he came to Storm Lake, living east of town till they moved to this city in the spring of 1912.

Brother Nixon has been in failing health for the past two years, but has bourne his ailments with great patience and fortitude. On the Sabbath preceding the end, he was stricken in an acute form and all that loved ones, kind friends and skilled physicians could do were of no avail and the end came speedily.

Bro. Nixon was a kind husband and a loving father. He now has crossed the bar and beholds his pilot face to face. His suffering over and he is at rest.

Besides his immediate family he leaves two brothers: C.H. Nixon and E.S. Nixon both of Retreat, WI, together with two sisters: Mrs M.J. Williams of Hayward, WI and Mrs T.W. Latta of Victora, IA. All the family lived in Storm Lake excepting Claud B who lives in Sac county and Rollie A, who lives in Fort Dodge. There are also 6 grandchildren in all.

The funeral services were held in the M.E. church Sabbath afternoon.
