Jeanette A. Trimble, age 87, of Storm Lake, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2016, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community of Storm Lake.
Jeanette Ann Trimble, a daughter of John and Lillie (Wiese) Rohlk, was born on February 4, 1929, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She graduated from Hayes High School and later married Frank Trimble at the Little Brown Church on December 30, 1948.
A partner with Frank in their farming operation and a full-time housewife, Jeanette, also, worked as a seamstress making clothes for Barbie dolls. A long time 4-H leader and a Sunday school teacher, she belonged to the Quilting Club as well. Moreover, she spent countless hours working in her flower garden.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, John and Lillie; her parents-in-law, Alva and Ella Trimble; her brothers, Eldon (Norma), Robert (Arlene), and Jim Rohlk as well as an infant brother, Larry; her sisters, Zetta (Arnie) Nielson and Orpha (Norvell) Binder; and her brothers-in-law, George (Kay) Trimble and Max Fries.
Jeanette is survived by her husband, Frank; her children, Roger (Shell) and Ray (Joni) Trimble; her grandchildren, Lee (Lacey) and Lance (Carrie) Anderson and Bryon (Keisha) Trimble; her great-grandchildren, Kiera, Harris, Sage, Sawyer, Owen, and Garret; her brothers, Kenny (Janice), Jonnie (Connie), and Gary (special friend, JoAnn) Rohlk; her sisters, Joelle (Branch) Verhoff, Phyllis (Larry) Craig, and Jane (Rich) Adams; her brother-in-law, Carol (Linda) Fries; and her sister-in-law, Linda Fries; as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, March 21, 2016, at 10:30 AM at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church of Storm Lake with the Revs. Charles Valenti-Hein and Duane Queen officiating. Burial will follow at the Storm Lake Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2016, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Nicklas D. Jensen Funeral Home of Alta.
