January 27, 1911 - Storm Lake Buena Vista Vidette - Mrs. H.B. Delbridge passed away from this world Friday afternoon, January 20th, at five o'clock, after six years of intense pain and suffering, the final cause of death being diabetes.

Barbara Huegle was born February 22, 1845, in Baden, Germany and when three years of age came with her parents to America, settling in Louisville, Kentucky, and from there removing to Decatur, Illinois where she grew into womanhood. Here she united with the Methodist church and during all her life in her home and in the world, has been a living, loving example of God's grace.

She was married November 23, 1863 to H.B. Delbridge and to this union were born thirteen children, nine of whom are living. They are Wm. Henry of Sioux City; Louis Franklin also of Sioux City; Lydia who is at home; Mrs. Mamie Snyder of California; Charles Wesley of Chicago; Mrs. Dora Prestan of Storm Lake; Emma Delbridge also at home, Elvin of Sioux City and Eva who has also been in Sioux City but came home to assist in the care of her mother.

Mr. and Mrs. Delbridge left Illinois twenty three years ago and settled near Schaller but moved to the farm on which they now are and where they have been for twenty years.

Mrs. Delbridge believed that her first duty was to her family and in seeing that her sons and daughters in the right way and in this she succeeded. She was a good and wise mother to them and a help-mate to her husband. Those who won her friendship prized the same, as she was a counselor and friend. And although her last few years have been full of intense suffering, she kept her patience and love. Her hope was bright in God and her future was with him.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon at two o'clock and the body was laid to rest in the Storm Lake cemetery.
