December 26, 1963 - August 4, 2015

Annette L. Jordan, age 51, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, at North Lake Manor in Storm Lake.

A daughter of Louis and Sylvia (Spooner) Nielsen, Annette was born on December 26, 1963, in Storm Lake, Iowa. She grew up in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1982. Then, she continued her education at the University of Iowa where she graduated in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in social work. She was also a member of the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society. In time, she married William Jordan III.

Involved with C.A.S.A. and the “Out of the Darkness” suicide walk, Annette worked as a child therapist. In her spare time, she loved going to garage sales and working on home improvement projects.

Most of all, however, Annette treasured her family. She cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren and will be remembered as a strong and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, William Jordan III, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her children: Danielle and Denishia Jordan; Krystal S. (Jason) Page; and Brandyn L. (Amanda), Nicholas W. (Maria), and Lucas D. Phillips; fourteen grandchildren; her brothers: Tony (Sue) and Steve Nielsen, all of Storm Lake, Iowa; and her sister, Barbara (Randy) Frahm, of Columbia, Missouri; as well as extended family members and friends.

Annette was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Sylvia Nielsen, and her nephew, David Sonnichsen.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
