Body of Long Time Resident is laid to Rest in the Storm Lake Cemetery.

George W. Redenbaugh’s sudden death Sunday [November 1, 1936] morning came as a great shock to his family and to many friends who will extend sympathy to his wife and family. During his life here, he has made many friends and especially among a group of young boys, of whom he was very fond. This was the first death in their immediate family.

Funeral rites were conducted by Rev. I. J. Kerrick at the Christian Church on Wednesday afternoon [November 4, 1036] at 2:30. Mrs. Paul Price and Mrs. R. F. Van Voorhis sang two sacred hymns, “Gathering Home” and “Saved by Grace.” They were accompanied by Mrs. Ernest Marshall at the piano.

Interment was in the Storm Lake cemetery. Bearers were Orville Redenbaugh, Arthur Redenbaugh, Walter Steffen, Otto Hines, Ed Ibsen, and Will Totman.

All members of his family were here to attend the funeral services: Leslie H. of Iowa City, Leslie of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Fred of North Platte, Nebraska, Richard R. of Fairfield, Mrs. Bertha Ibsen of Fonda, and Mrs. Mary Mudge.

Others from out of town were John Berkler of Lytton, Mr. and Mrs. John Hanson and Daisy of Alta, Mr. and Mrs. Will Redenbaugh of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Mr. and Mrs. George Lewis of Early, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Redenbaugh of Spencer, Mrs. Gilbert Knudtsen of Omaha, Mrs. E. M. Parsons and her mother, and Mrs. D. V. Redenbaugh of Carnarvon.
