Kathleen A. Bach, age 63, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake.

Kathleen Ann Bach was born on June 19, 1951, in Storm Lake, Iowa, a daughter of Marvin and Donna (Magnussen) Bach. She spent her childhood in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1969. She, then, continued her education at Mankato State College for two years before returning to Buena Vista College where she graduated in 1974.

Kathleen began working in the Buena Vista County Treasurer’s office starting in1974, became the County Treasurer in 1992, and was currently serving as the Buena Vista County Treasurer. An active member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, she, also, played in the Bell Choir and served on the financial committee for several years.

Kathleen had a special love for animals, especially dogs, with Sasha being her last dog. Most of all, however, she valued the members of her family. Indeed, giving to them brought her her greatest joy. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her mother, Donna Bach, of Storm Lake, Iowa, and her sisters, Linda (John) Racine, of Spirit Lake, Iowa, and Barbara (Tom) Henrich, of Storm Lake, Iowa, as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her father, Marvin Cody Bach.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 27, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake. Burial will follow in the Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery in Storm Lake. Visitation will take place Friday, September 26, 2014, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake. The Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake is in charge of the arrangements.
