Lucille K. Hartman, age 95, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on Tuesday, January 21, 2014, at the Methodist Manor Retirement Community in Storm Lake.

Lucille Katherine Mohr was born on July 11, 1918, on a farm near Albert City, the daughter of Otto and Katherine (Leitz) Mohr.

Baptized on September 1, 1918, and confirmed on December 6, 1936, Lucille attended grade school in the Coon Township Country School. She, then, attended high school in Albert City, graduating in 1934.

A devoted daughter, Lucille spent many years taking care of her parents. In 1957, she began a twenty-five year-long career as a bank teller at the Albert City Savings Bank.

A long time member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Newell, Lucille taught Sunday school and joined the Ladies Aid Society.

Lucille had an eye for fashion and enjoyed shopping. She also loved spending time with her family, especially on Sundays. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish Lucille’s memory include nieces, nephews, and cousins, as well as extended family members and friends.

Lucille was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William “Bill” Hartman; and her sister, Irene Moser.

Interment: January 25, 2014, at Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery.
