Robert K. Beckfield, 76, of Belle Plaine, Iowa, died on Saturday, September 7, 2013, in Cedar Rapids.

Bob was born on December 1, 1936, in Storm Lake, the son of Albert and Doris Dunn Beckfield. After working at Farmstead, he retired after more than twenty-five years of service. He had also proudly served in the U.S. Army.

A collector, Bob enjoyed acquiring many different items from collectable tractors to cars.

He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial fund has been established.

Survivors include two sons, John (April), of Cedar Rapids, and Thomas, of California; one daughter, Sharon Murphy, also of California; and two sisters, Pat (Jim) Albrecht, of Runnells, and Phyllis (Melvin) Madsen, of Laurens; as well as four grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 12, 2013, at St. John's Lutheran Church in Albert City where friends may call after Noon on Thursday. Burial at the Storm Lake Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.
