Kay Nattress, age 76, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died on June 23, 2013, at the North Lake Manor in Storm Lake.
Kay M. Zahn was born on April 15, 1937, in Harris, Iowa, the daughter of Bill and Nellie (Dather) Zahn. Baptized and confirmed at the Harris United Methodist Church, she attended school in Harris, graduating from Harris High School in 1955.
On September 3, 1955, Kay married Virgil Nattress at the Harris United Methodist Church. They were, subsequently, blessed with two children: Bill and Teri.
A member of the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, Kay also belonged to the firemen wives group, the Ladies Sparklers.
Kay valued her family very much. She always enjoyed spending time with them as well as with her friends. They will remember her for the walks she took through the neighborhood.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Virgil Nattress, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her children: Bill (Linda) Nattress, of Sac City, Iowa, and Teri (Kevin) Eddie, of Storm Lake, Iowa; her grandchildren: Brandon (Kari) and Chuck (Sara) Nattress, Brenda (Brian) Schmitt, Katie (Cullen) Vredenburg, Brett Townsend, and Geoff Eddie (Kenzie); her great grandchildren: Brock, Charlie, Cooper; Sam, Carson, Kennedy; Brayden, and Quinn; and her sisters, Phyllis Dunn and Jean Keim; as well as extended family members and friends.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Nellie Zahn; her brother, Leland Zahn; and her brothers-in-law, Howard Dunn and Dick Keim.
Memorial Service: 10:00 a.m., June 26, 2013, at the United Methodist Church in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00 p.m., June 25, 2013, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Home in Storm Lake, Iowa.
