Linda Moldovan, age 65, of Storm Lake, Iowa, died Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at the Buena Vista Regional Medical Center in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Linda Jean Moldovan was born on December 2, 1947, in Storm Lake, Iowa, the daughter of Lewis Russell and Ruby Nell (Austin) Moldovan. She attended school in Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School in 1966. Following graduation, Linda attended Buena Vista College for a year.

In her earlier years, Linda worked as a secretary-bookkeeper in several different cities: Chicago, Illinois, Denver, Colorado, and lastly, Minneapolis, Minnesota. She loved working as a secretary and appreciated the challenge.

Linda moved back to Storm Lake to help care for her mother, Ruby Moldovan. During this time, she also worked at Faith, Hope & Charity as a bookkeeper-secretary. In addition, Linda worked as a hostess for two years when Burger King first opened in Storm Lake. Her last employment was at The Storm Lake Times for ten years.

Over the years, Linda cooked many homemade meals and loving played the piano. An excellent seamstress, she spent much of her spare time fixing anything that needed repairing.

Linda inherited her grandfather and father’s talents for interior decorating as well as for painting and home renovation. She shared her talents and energy on the renovation of her family’s home, which has been in the family since 1910.

She dearly loved her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and her dog, Daisy. Linda was always willing to help her family out with finances to get them through rough times in their lives. We will all miss you, Linda, and all of us will take care of the family home.

Those left to cherish her memory include her siblings: Darlene Renshaw, Mary Moldovan, and Barb Wayt, all of Storm Lake, Lewis (Pam) Moldovan, of Sac City, Iowa, and Clifford Moldovan, of Des Moines, Iowa; her nieces and nephews: Chris Renshaw and Debora Ghiraldelli, and their children, Kaumdi Ruby and Devaraja Franscesco, all of Florence, Italy; Lesley, Heidy and Holly Wayt, of Storm Lake; Elizabeth, Stephen, Jonathon and Hannah Moldovan, of Sac City, Iowa; Chad Moldovan, of Des Moines, Iowa; and Jessica Moldovan Morse, of Storm Lake; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Ruby Moldovan.

Visitation: 11:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m., February 01, 2013, at the Fratzke & Jensen Funeral Homes in Storm Lake, Iowa.
Interment: February 02, 2013, at the Storm Lake Cemetery in Storm Lake, Iowa.
