Nancy Ann Mulder, age 50, of Crooks, South Dakota, died on Sunday, March 11, 2012, at Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls.

Nancy was born on May 14, 1961, in Sioux City. Adopted by Dean and June (Ellwanger) Bowers, she grew up in Humboldt and Storm Lake, graduating from Storm Lake High School. She, then, attended the University of Northern Iowa.

Nancy married Wade Mulder on October 10, 1998, at Benton Lutheran Church. Following their marriage, they lived in Crooks. Nancy worked as a counselor at the Carroll Institute in Sioux Falls. She enjoyed walking her dog and growing flowers.

Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Wade, of Crooks; a son, Garrison, at home; her mother, June Bowers, of Storm Lake; and a brother, Bruce Bowers, of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her father.

Memorial services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Benton Lutheran Church, rural Crooks.
