Hans Kirkholm Services for Hans Soren Kirkholm, 78, Alta, was held on April 7 at United Methodist Church, Alta. Rev. Marvin Lindley officiated. Burial was in Buena Vista Memorial Park Cemetery, Storm Lake. Jones-Barker Funeral Home, Alta, was in charge of arrangements.

He died April 4, 1989, in St. Luke Regional Medical Center, Sioux City.

Hans was born Ma y 20,1910, to Anton and Jensina (Sorenson) Kirkholm. He married Violet Sharkey on March 17, 1934, in Cushing. They farmed in the Moville and Galva areas until moving to Alta. He was a member of United Methodist Church, Alta; Farm Bureau, Storm Lake; and Agland Elevator, Alta.

Preceding him in death were his parents; and one brother— Carl.

Survivors include his wife; one son — James and wife, Margie, Minneapolis, Minn.; one daughter — Jane (Mrs. Francis) Carlson, Alta; three sisters -— Mrs. Ella Speakman, Osseo, Minn.; Mrs. Anna Henry, Sioux City; and Mrs. Mary Vetterlien, Chicago, 111.; two grandchildren — Tim Kirkholm and Colleen Konop; and two great-grandchildren — Marshal! Kirkholm and Katie Konop.
