John Burr, aged 98, a trapper and hunter of the pioneer days, is dead at Sioux Rapids. He served through the war in a Wisconsin regiment and came to Iowa in 1868.

Transcriber’s Note: Find a Grave shows he was born May 22, 1818 and died Dec. 3, 1913. He is buried in Lone Tree Cemetery.
